Hope

Romans 15:13
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

The Power of Worship

2 Chronicles 20:21-23
After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of His holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for His love endures forever." As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

God used Israel's worship to 'ambush' their enemies. The result was that these enemies destroyed one another! Worship and expect the confusion to break off of South Dakota this fall and for God's enemies to be ambushed.

2 Corinthians 4:2
Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

Remember this scripture as you continue to pray for the campaign and for the unborn in South Dakota. Pray that the opposition's tactics of deception would be exposed and that the truth would be plainly set before South Dakota. Pray that every voter's conscience would be affected by that truth.

Place your cause before God

Job 5:8-16
"But as for me, I would seek God, and I would place my cause before God; Who does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number...He saves from the sword of [the cunning]'s mouth, and the poor from the hand of the mighty. So the helpless has hope, and unrighteousness must shut its mouth."

Detestable

Proverbs 6:16
There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Please pray that this realization would strike the hearts of South Dakotans!

Magnitude

Ezekiel 22:30 "I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none."

This cannot be true for South Dakota! God is looking for people who will stand in the gap for South Dakota and cry out for repentance and mercy! Blood is on our hands, but if we build up the wall and pray, the land will not be destroyed! This goes beyond the unborn; this impacts everyone! Pray the fear of the Lord will strike South Dakota, people will realize the magnitude of this issue and that people will stand and cry out!

Where else do you have to go?

John 6:61, 65-69
But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled, said to them, "Does this cause you to stumble? And He was saying, "For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father." As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. So Jesus said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, where else do we have to go? You have alone have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God."

Rejoice and be confident that Jesus is the Holy One of God! Spend time with Him today. Where else do you have to go? He alone has words of eternal life! :)

Foundations Laid Bare

Psalm 5:1-7
Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil; with you the wicked cannot dwell. The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong. You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors. But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple.

The Lord abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men! Deceit and confusion have been cornerstones for the enemy. Pray that the lies will be destroyed and foundations laid bare. Praise the Lord for hearing our cries, even in the first watch of the day!

More Unrest

Jeremiah 50:34
Yet their Redeemer is strong; the LORD Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

Please continue to pray that those who oppose unborn life would experience unrest in their hearts. Speak rest over those who do advocate for the unborn. Pray that God will vigorously defend the cause of the unborn. The Almighty and His Truth are stronger than the enemy!

Unrest

1 Kings 18:16-20
So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him [that Elijah had come], and Ahab went to meet Elijah. When he saw Elijah, he said to him, "Is that you, you troubler of Israel?" "I have not made trouble for Israel," Elijah replied. "But you and your father's family have. You have abandoned the LORD's commands and have followed the Baals. Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table." So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel. Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him."

Pray that the opposition experiences unrest in their heart and that they are troubled. Pray that the people of South Dakota are confronted with the truth and are forced to make the choice Elijah presented Israel: “If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” Read the rest of the chapter to see how God showed His strength and proved that He is the LORD.
